Education is the foundation for change. If we want to see a greener world, we need to know the impact our choices have on the planet. From big decisions (i.e. buying a new car) to seemingly tiny options (“Would you like a straw with your ice water?”), every day we are faced with opportunities to make Earth friendly choices. Mother Nature needs our help. We can “Make Mama Happy” by making even tiny adjustments to our daily lives.
First, we will create a CUBEX Community Green Slack Channel #green_challenge to educate and challenge where we will:
Post Bi-weekly Green Educational “FYI”s
Have a weekly “Challenge” to encourage all CUBEX employees to make green choices, i.e.:
Bring your own tumbler to the coffee shop
Decline a straw
Craft something out of your trash
Ride share
Etc
Employees will be asked to post pics of their Challenge Wins in exchange for points.
Occasionally, there will be “Flash Challenges” where the first to respond with a pic of the action, wins an instant prize (and bragging rights)
Points can be redeemed at anytime for a collection of eco-friendly prizes like:
Rocketbook
CUBEX tumbler mug
Reusable shopper bag
A Tree planted from CUBEX
Points will never expire, and new prizes will be offered periodically
We are also teaming up with Laura Brown’s Community and will offer points to people who attend Community events that have a green impact. i.e.:
Trash clean up
Lunch and Learns at HQ
Tree Planting event in November
Our hope is that we can educate our team to live greener lifestyles through education and fun community involvement.
