St. Mary’s Food Bank is truly a community-based organization. Individual donors, corporate donors, and private grants help feed hungry individuals and families in our area. Serving two-thirds of Arizona’s 15 counties, they are committed to volunteerism, building community relationships and improving the quality of life for Arizonans in need.
As volunteers for this event, we will be asked to work with other volunteers to create emergency meal boxes to be distributed to various shelters and organizations around the valley to give to those in need. This is an upbeat, fun event where you can make a huge impact in a short amount of time.
Location: Del E. Webb Distribution Center 2831 N. 31st Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85009
Date: Wednesday, March 18th
Morning Shift: 9:00am to 11:00am
Afternoon Shift: 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Notes: As this is a Cubex Sponsored Event, please wear your Community Builder T-shirts at the event. See Laura B for shirt distribution. Participation is based on supervisor approval. Meet in break-room 30 min prior to coordinate carpooling. Prior sign-up is required. Space is limited. Please sign up by 3/11/2020
*SMFBA AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum age: 16 years old, 12 years old with an adult
Please complete a Youth Release Form for all volunteers under 18 years old
DRESS CODE:
The comfort and safety of volunteers is important. Due to health codes and safety precautions, a strict volunteer dress code is in effect. Volunteers MUST wear: Closed-toe shoes (sneakers suggested). All shirts must have sleeves (No tank tops, spaghetti straps, sleeveless, midriff or low-cut tops. Pants, jeans, or workout attire preferred. Shorts are allowed at a respectable length. (Must be no shorter than 7” above the knee)

VOLUNTEER PARKING IS LIMITED. PLEASE CARPOOL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! OVERFLOW PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT 3020 W. WINDSOR AVE., PHOENIX, AZ 85009 (PARKING MAP) Please leave valuables, purses or backpacks in your vehicle for your safety and security. St. Mary’s Food Bank is not responsible for lost and/or stolen items brought into our facilities. Lockers and water are available
